At the heart of the European Zebrafish Society (EZS) lies the Young Researcher Committee (YoRC), established in 2021. Comprising early-career zebrafish researchers, our committee is dedicated to empowering and supporting early-career scientists within the EZS and worldwide zebrafish community.
What drives us?
Connection
We strive to foster connections among students, postdocs, and early-career professionals, bridging gaps between academia, industry, and the broader scientific community.
Engagement
Our mission is to actively involve members in the EZS, providing a platform to share ideas, insights, and visions for the future of zebrafish research.
Opportunity
We aim to maximize the benefits of EZS membership for early-career researchers, enabling them to make the most out of their scientific journey.
What do we do?
Who benefits?
Be part of a welcoming, inclusive community that celebrates diversity
and empowers the next generation of zebrafish researchers!
The board members of this new team, Max, Tim, Annelies, Vania and Konstantinos, are 5 enthusiastic PhD students and Postdocs from different countries and labs across Europe, who all currently work with zebrafish.
The committee will meet frequently to identify specific priorities and initiatives that will be submitted to the EZS Board for discussion and approval.

About EZS
The European Zebrafish Society was formed as a successor of "EuFishBioMed e.V." to foster zebrafish research, providing a platform for researchers and a framework for grant funding for young researchers.
